Bryce Canyon

We got a start off to Bryce Canyon the next afternoon. The drive to the park was only a few hours and we got in just before sunset. There were a few interesting rock formations along the drive, but it was incredible to walk down the short path to the rim of the canyon and see this:
The tall structures are called hoodoos and they are formed by erosion of the sandstone. Along the canyon rim you could see how they were just forming.
At some points it was difficult or impossible to see how deep the canyon was.
We were able to walk all along the rim and watch the beautiful colors change as the sun set. This was definitely one of the most stunning places we've been.
