Yosemite

The next day we took our time getting into Yosemite. Of course we had to take advantage of the beautiful fresh farm stands along the way.
When we got to the park it was already raining. It rained for our entire visit. I didn't take many photos because we didn't get out and hike around as much as we wanted to.
We found an available site at Bridal Veil Creek and set up camp just before another storm rolled in and headed back down to the valley to see what kinds of things the park had going on. The view coming and going up the winding road to the campsite was fantastic
We had dinner at the Yosemite Lodge which had a nice view of Yosemite Falls
After dinner we moved to the lounge for some bananagrams and a nightcap. It was a great, relaxing way to spend a rainy evening.
The snow on the ground should have been a clue as to how freezing cold it would be at night. It rained all through the  night and even with several layers on we froze. We packed up our soggy tent and drove back down to the valley to go to the visitors center and get some hot coffee.
We joined a plein air pastel class at the art center and headed over to the Sierra club building to work. The artist-in-residence was excellent and we had a great time!

After class we were Sequoia bound!
